Consider the Consequences of Bombing Iran’s Nuclear Power Plants, and Pray

The US government has recently increased the belligerence of its tone towards Iran.

Two offensive aircraft carriers fleets are now on station near Iran and another is reportedly en route. In late March, Saudi Arabia practiced how it will cope with nuclear fallout following a US attack on Iran. In early April, Israel practiced how it will cope with retaliatory missiles following a US attack on Iran. Everyone in the region is getting ready for the bombing of Iran’s nuclear power plant and enrichment facilities. Iran, too, is ready for war.

Peoples and governments in the Persian Gulf, in the Middle East, in Europe, and down wind in India and China need to take effective actions now to stop this insanity. Once radiation is released, UN resolutions cannot put it back in containment.

Americans with family and friends serving in the military forces in the Persian Gulf, in Iraq, and in Afghanistan need to wonder how expendable the Bush administration considers them to be.

The planet pleads, “Do not bomb nuclear reactors”.

Dave Barry on the "Economic Stimulus Payment"

This year, filing taxpayers will receive an Economic Stimulus Payment. This is a very exciting new program that I will explain using the Q and A format:

Q. What is an Economic Stimulus Payment?

A. It is money that the federal government will send to taxpayers.

Q. Where will the government get this money?

A. From taxpayers.

Q. So the government is giving me back my own money?

A. Only a smidgen.

Q. What is the purpose of this payment?

A. The plan is that you will use the money to purchase a high-definition TV set, thus stimulating the economy.

Q. But isn't that stimulating the economy of China?

A. Shut up.

The Iraq War Morphs Into the Iran War

It is 1939 all over again. The world waits helplessly for the next act of naked aggression by rogue states. Only this time the rogue states are not the Third Reich and Fascist Italy. They are the United States and Israel.

Why do the American people and “their” representatives in Congress continue to tolerate a criminal Bush Regime that uses lies and propaganda to mask its acts of naked aggression, war crimes under the Nuremberg standard?

Why does the rest of the world continue to receive political representatives from a war criminal government?

What if the rest of the world told the US to close its bases, its embassies, its CIA operations and to go home?

Self-righteous Americans would regard such demands as effrontery! We own the world.

Black Hole in Bush's Brain

This war is driven by multiple delusions, the main error being that it can eventually be won by the application of greater and greater amounts of force. Advocates of this strategy ignore the basic immorality of the argument, that victory at any price is an acceptable cost. If the American people remember their power and are given time to think about the direction of the war, they will realize how wrong these policies are. Considering that Bush is following a policy that generates more enemies than can be killed without the use of nuclear weapons and he shares Cheney's obsession with finding an excuse to nuke Iran, it becomes apparent that America's leaders are working against the people's interests.

Any leader who does not support instantly stopping the prosecution of this conflict is supporting the continuation of this black hole. The only solution to the chaos in Iraq is a complete turnaround of policy, centered upon undoing the damage done by Bush's plan, which consisted of beating the Iraqi people senseless, until they submitted to all of his demands. If there is no candidate for president who advocates such a total reversal of American foreign policy, then there is not candidate worth voting for. It does not matter whether these policies have been an unending series of mistakes or if the chaotic storm that is Iraq today is the product of a cynical heartless plan, Bush or whoever succeeds him (if he allows a successor) must not be allowed to expand this failed military strategy.

Is War With Iran Imminent?

The shooting has already started in the Persian Gulf – and chances are we'll be at war with Iran before President Bush's term is up. An American ship under contract with the U.S. Navy – the Western Venture – claims it was in international waters when Iranian speedboats approached and failed to answer radio calls. Shots were fired on the American side. Iran denies the whole thing. Yet you'll recall that in the last incident, involving the capture of British sailors, the story about being in international waters was the same – except, it turns out, they weren't in international waters, but in disputed waters, just as we speculated in this space. There's no reason to expect anything different this time. Clearly, the U.S. and Britain are trying to trigger a new conflict with the most brazen provocations, and they don't really care how it happens – only that it does.

The indications of an imminent attack – the latest incident, the steady stream of accusations coming from the U.S. regarding Iranian influence in Iraq, the nuclear charade, etc. – have suddenly taken a more ominous turn with the recent statement of America's top military officer that the U.S. is weighing military action against Iran.

This time, it's more than a rumor…

MAYDAY ALERT! -- Terror Drills Could Go Live!

The name "false flag" comes from the old pirate's ruse of flying another country's flag during an attack, thereby shifting blame for the attack to a party that had nothing to do with it. Governments use false flag attacks to push their nations into dictatorship or war. As military experts, we fear that national terror drills, scheduled for May 1-8, could be used to camouflage a false flag attack in the United States.

Al Qaeda says Iranian 9/11 Claims a "Lie"!

More prize disinformation dutifully carried by the BBC. This time it reports that Al Qaeda’s deputy leader has blasted Iran for claiming that Israel was behind 9/11.
It’s a lie; he insists on an audiotape posted on the Internet, we did it!

But you really have to wonder if the BBC's employees are really this stupid? Or are they consciously spreading disinformation without any qualms or questions?
Below we post a BBC report on Al-Qaeda's deputy leader accusing Iran of trying to discredit the organisation by claiming that Israel was involved in 9/11.

Given the fact that there is a growing body of evidence of Israeli involvement in the events of 9/11, and that the very existence of Al-Qaeda as an authentic "terror" organisation has been called into question, it's more than likely that Ayman al-Zawahiri's outburst is actually part of an MI6/CIA/MOSSAD disinformation program.

New World Order Pope

Pope Benedict XVI spoke to the U.N. General Assembly on Friday, warning nations against undermining the authority of the United Nations by acting unilaterally. The Pope also found time to bless the U.N. flag.

The Pope’s comments are of little surprise, given the fact that he has previously called for a "new world order" to combat terrorism, environmental problems, as well as economic imbalances during his Christmas 2005 speech. Pope John Paul II also called for a new world order in a 2004 new years speech.

This, despite the fact (as explained below), that the abuse report that provided the pretext for the raid was contrived. This, despite the admission, under oath, of Bruce Perry of the ChildTrauma Academy — an "expert" witness on behalf of the state — that the foster care system "would be destructive to these kids."

Why Zionism-Nazism Comparisons are Legitimate

I strongly believe that Jews around the world, including those in Israel , ought to be constantly reminded of the evil crimes committed in Palestine under their collective name, as well as understand the close ideological similarity between Nazism and Zionism.

This, I believe, is a legitimate tool to get Jews, especially those who still value justice and honesty, to reconsider their identification and infatuation with this evil entity and its equally nefarious ideology and actions.

Netanyahu Says 9/11 Terror Attacks Good for Israel

The first question any criminal investigator asks when investigating a crime is ... "qui bono" - who benefits? Now ask yourself who have been the major beneficiaries of the 9/11 attacks. Well, Netanyahu identifies one of them with his statement, Israel. Others include the neocons, who have consolidated power and robbed American people of their freedoms, and contractors such as Blackwater, Halliburton, and KBR. Now ask yourself this .. has the country of Iran, Iraq, or Afghanistan or "Al Qaeda" benifitted in any way? Not that I can see. Given all this, does the official account of who is responsible for the attacks on 9/11 make any sense to you? - Le Patriote

The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel.

"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor."

Asked tonight what the attack meant for relations between the United States and Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, the former prime minister, replied: “It's very good.”

Then he edited himself: “Well, not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy.”

Only A Miracle Can Save America Now

Every four years, conservative "pragmatists" trot out the "We Can't Let So-And-So Win" mantra. Of course, the so-and-so in question is always the Democratic Presidential candidate. For all of my adult life, I have been listening to so-called "conservative" Republicans warn us of the impending doom that would befall our country if the Democratic candidate were elected. And this year is no different.

This year's Republican primary did provide a wonderful aberration, however, to the usual choices between Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Republicans had an opportunity to nominate a real American constitutionalist, a statesman in the similitude of Thomas Jefferson or James Madison. That man was Texas Congressman, Ron Paul. Unfortunately, the Republican faithful seem to be incapable of discerning the marks of true greatness, not to mention fidelity to constitutional government. It is doubtful that most of them even understand what constitutional government is. And as for Christian conservatives, they can barely see any issues beyond abortion and "gay rights." To try and convince them to support a constitutionalist candidate is like talking to a brick wall.

So, what choice does the Republican Party offer the American people this year? The worst of all possible choices: good old John "McSame" McCain.

The Bipartisan Brotherhood of Plunder (Updated)

For five years, Washington has waged a war of aggression against Iraq in an undisguised effort to steal that country's energy resources and territory (the latter to be used as a staging base for additional imperial ventures in the region). Between the first and second Iraq wars, Washington led a multinational embargo of that country that annihilated hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians and immiserated millions more. For several decades leading up to the 1991 Gulf War, Washington materially supported Saddam -- who was brought to power with U.S. assistance -- in his wars of aggression, both foreign and domestic.

And yet after all of this, with Washington losing its war in Iraq (as justice demands that it does), the political class that dominates our country has the temerity to rebuke Iraq for refusing to pay the costs of recovering from the damage "our" government has inflicted on it.

Petraeus Points to War With Iran

The neocons may yet get their war on Iran.

Ever since President Nouri al-Maliki ordered the attacks in Basra on the Mahdi Army, Gen. David Petraeus has been laying the predicate for U.S. air strikes on Iran and a wider war in the Middle East.

It is not Iran that wants a war with the United States. It is the United States that has reasons to want a short, sharp war with Iran.

Alert: U.S. Escalates Moves Against Iran

Over the past weeks, there have been many ominous signs that the U.S. is, at the very least, escalating its full-court press against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and may be preparing a military attack.

During much of 2007, there were numerous reports that the U.S. was weighing options for striking Iran and was actively preparing and positioning its military for doing so. This trajectory seemed to temporarily slow with the release of a new National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) in early December, which reversed the 2005 NIE by stating that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in 2003. Whatever the precise state of current U.S. military plans and preparations, Iran remains “public enemy number one” for the U.S. rulers in the Middle East—the main obstacle to their agenda of defeating Islamic fundamentalist forces that pose obstacles to unfettered American dominance and the restructuring of the entire region more tightly under imperialist control.

Within weeks of the NIE’s release, the U.S. spun a routine encounter between U.S. warships and Iranian patrol boats in the Persian Gulf into what was portrayed as a provocative “incident” supposedly demonstrating Iran’s belligerence. Bush traveled to the Middle East to rally opinion and allies against Iran, declaring “Iran was dangerous, Iran is dangerous, and Iran will be dangerous if they have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon.” The U.S. rammed through a new set of UN sanctions against Iran. Bush and Cheney have claimed that Iran says it is seeking to develop nuclear weapons, even though the Iranian regime denies it has a nuclear weapons program.

Petraeus and Presidential Politics

A US flotilla is in position in the Persian Gulf. Armed with nuclear warheads on their Sidewinder missiles, US submarines slide soundlessly past the straits of Hormuz to take up their positions near the coast of Iran to participate in the planetary equivalent of electroshock therapy. The objective of this series of shocks is not the populace of Iran, nor even the greater Middle East, but the American body politic that appears to have grown bored and troubled over the deepening abyss of war in Iraq. In the minds of the neocons, the American people have grown complacent, cowardly and even craven in their attitude to the glorious war in Iraq. A sharp lesson in shock and awe ferocity aimed at a nefarious enemy, a spoke on the Axis of Evil, should awaken America from its dangerous slumber.

In his recent top-secret conversations with King Abdulla of Saudi Arabia, Vice President Cheney informed the king of the forthcoming attack on Iran that could produce nuclear fallout across a broad arc of the region. Shortly after Cheney’s departure, the king informed the public of the threat to their national security and ordered immediate preparations against nuclear fallout. The nuclear material can emanate from either the US attack or the explosion of Iranian nuclear sites – or both.

The Prophet Before The Storm, Part I - ** Must Read **

Each generation gives rise to men and women of unique courage and insight. More often than not, they are pilloried, ridiculed and sidelined as eccentrics or worse. Some of them suffer terribly at the hands of those they seek to help, and almost all of them die in poverty and obscurity, only to be remembered with veneration by future generations as prophets whose warnings and remonstrations fell on deaf ears.

We live in a world crowded by occultist soothsayers, New Age gurus, esoteric magicians, deceitful politicians, putative Antichrists and establishment "holy men" claiming to have the ear of God. While Madonna flirts with Satanic Kabbalism, Judaized Christians scour the evil Talmud for hidden revelations, movie stars sell their souls to Scientology, the murderer Tony Blair kisses the ring of the Pope, American Baptists align themselves with the Children of Satan, and millions of Europeans sink into the abyss of God-hating humanism, one can be forgiven for thinking we are living at the End of the Age.

Yet above the din and cacophony of demonic chatter and the remorseless background "muzak" of televised propaganda and the inky-dinky monkey beat of popular culture and its hypnotic inanities, a lone voice can be heard that cuts a swathe through the Babylon of self-obsessing gibberish.

He is the Watchman on the tower who warns of dangers to come, and yet the revellers in the courtyard mock him, for their ears are closed to the truth. He wanders the streets and takes each to task, yet in turn he is rewarded with abuse, physical assault, wicked and vicious insults, and false charges brought against him by those who rule from the latter day Synagogues of Satan. Penniless and unloved, he arises each day with an empty belly but filled with the strength of God to sustain him; and once again he takes his message to those who are wealthy in hubris but poor at heart: Jews who remain trapped in the Satanic religion of Judaism.

That man is Brother Nathanael.

Back From Iraq: "I Killed Innocent People For Our Government"

For nearly 12 years, Staff Sergeant Jimmy Massey was a hard-core, some say "gung-ho," Marine. For three years he trained fellow Marines in one of the most grueling indoctrination rituals in military life -- Marine boot camp.

The Iraqi war changed Massey. The brutality, the sheer carnage of the U.S. invasion, touched his conscience and transformed him forever. He was honorably discharged last December 31 and is now back in his hometown, Waynsville, North Carolina. When I talked with Sergeant Massey last week, he expressed his remorse at the civilian loss of life in incidents in which he himself was involved.

Petraeus Testimony Will Signal Iran Attack

On Saturday, April 5, the London Telegraph reported that "British officials gave warning yesterday that America’s commander in Iraq will declare that Iran is waging war against the US-backed Baghdad government. A strong statement from General David Petraeus about Iran’s intervention in Iraq could set the stage for a US attack on Iranian military facilities, according to a Whitehall assessment."

The neocon lackey Petraeus has had his script written for him by Cheney, and Petraeus together with neocon warmonger Ryan Crocker, the US governor of the Green Zone in Baghdad, will present Congress next Tuesday and Wednesday with the lies, for which the road has been well paved by neocon propagandists such as Kimberly Kagan, that "the US must recognize that Iran is engaged in a full-up proxy war against it in Iraq."

Don’t expect Congress to do anything except to egg on the attack. On April 3 the International Herald Tribune reported that senators and representatives have made profits from their investments in defense companies totaling $196 million. Rep. Ike Skelton, the Democrat chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, is already on board with the attack on Iran. The London Telegraph quotes Skelton: "Iran is the bull in the china shop. In all of this, they seem to have links to all of the Shi’ite groups, whether they be political or military."

By next Thursday we will know from how the Petraeus-Crocker dog and pony show plays in the US Congress and media whether the Bush Regime will commit yet another war crime by attacking Iran.

US Lawmakers Have As Much As $196 Million Invested In "Defense" Companies

Anybody else see a conflict of interest here? We actually make war profitable for the politicians responsible for deciding on and funding them. If war is profitable, then we can expect more of it, simple as that. - Le Patriote

Members of the U.S.Congress have as much as $196 million (126.2 million) collectively invested in companies doing business with the Defense Department, earning millions since the start of the Iraq war, according to a new study by a nonpartisan research group.

The review of lawmakers' 2006 financial disclosure statements, by the Washington-based Center for Responsive Politics, suggests that members' holdings could pose a conflict of interest as they decide the fate of Iraq war spending. Several members who earned the most from defense contractors have plum committee or leadership assignments, including Democratic Sen. John Kerry, independent Sen. Joseph Lieberman and House Republican Whip Roy Blunt.

Ritter says White House preparing for war in Iran

Guess I'm not the only one who looks at the evidence and comes to the conclusion that the US government is preparing to attack Iran. This is totally unnecessary and unwarranted and will be yet another massive crime against humanity and sin against God by this murderous regime. - Le Patriote

But there is an 80 percent chance of war with Iran, he told about 200 people Wednesday at Middlebury College as part of a series of talks facilitated by the Vermont Peace and Justice Center.

The pattern of preparations for such a conflict has been steadily developing and involves Congress as well as the Bush-Cheney administration, he said.

The Die is Cast, the Cast Will Die

I just discovered the writings of Darryl Robert Schoon and the man has a tremendous understanding of our very unsustainable financial and monetary system. He does not have a rosy forecast for the US economy. - Le Patriote

In capital credit-based systems, credit is fed into the economy in a process whereby producers and savers are indebted and bankers are enriched. Because credit is an integral part of capital systems, as the economy expands the debt and the interest it produces benefits bankers. The debt and the compounding interest on that debt in turn enslaves producers and savers.

Like parasites, bankers cannot exist without producers and savers. In capital credit-based systems, producers and savers cannot exist without bankers. In savings-based systems where gold and silver are money as was the US prior to 1913, producers and savers can and do prosper without central bank credit and debt.

Silver, Gold & The Last American Hero JFK

Only days before leaving office, in his Farewell Speech Eisenhower named those he believed responsible for the policies that would someday endanger America’s liberties and render this once wealthy nation financially insolvent.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

…We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow.

Less than fifty years after Eisenhower uttered those prophetic words, America’s patrimony is gone and its future mortgaged beyond its ability to repay. His words were heard but not heeded - not then or since. It cannot be said that America wasn’t warned. It can and will be said that America didn’t listen.
