The "Christian" Right is Wrong !

Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:16-23)

The United States has pressured, destabilized, undermined, manipulated, and overthrown governments, including democracies. We have assassinated or attempted to assassinate foreign leaders. We have destroyed industry, culture, and infrastructure. We have helped install autocrats and dictators. We have sponsored regime changes in countries that no longer favored U.S. corporate interests. We have backed and engineered military coups. We have been involved with torturers, death squads, drug traffickers, and other "unsavory persons." We have allied ourselves with murderous regimes. We have downplayed massive numbers of civilian casualties by dismissing them as collateral damage. We have labeled violence perpetrated by our opponents as terrorism, atrocities, ethnic cleansing, and genocide while minimizing or defending the same actions committed by the United States or its allies. We have engaged in thousands of covert actions. We have undertaken massive propaganda campaigns to deceive foreigners about their own country. We have kidnapped foreign citizens in their own country. We have transported insurgents and detainees to torture-friendly countries. We have looted and confiscated government documents from foreign countries. We have selectively intervened in countries for dubious humanitarian concerns while ignoring real suffering and death in other countries. We have used humanitarian interventions as a guise for imperialism. We have encouraged favored governments to engage in human rights violations. We have supported corrupt and tyrannical governments. We have crushed populist and nationalist movements struggling against tyrannical regimes. We have trained foreign soldiers and police to suppress their own people. We have influenced, sabotaged, financed, and otherwise interfered with elections in other countries. We have taken sides or intervened in civil wars. We have recklessly tested and knowingly used chemical and biological weapons on both U.S. citizens and foreigners in their countries. We have encouraged the use of chemical and biological weapons by other nations, and trained foreign nationals to do the same. We have downplayed the slaughter of civilians killed in civil wars if they were on the side we didn’t agree with. We have provided military hardware to and trained the paramilitary forces of foreign countries. We have engaged in provocative naval actions in international waters under the guise of protecting freedom of navigation. We have bribed, blackmailed, and bullied our way around the world. Say what you will, believe what you will about the nuclear programs of Iran and North Korea, the fact remains that the United States is the only country to have ever used nuclear weapons on people – and we did it twice.

Goodbye To The City Upon A Hill And To Its Fabled Economy

America is being destroyed. Many Americans are unaware, others are indifferent, and some intend it.

The destruction is across the board: the political and constitutional system, the economy, social institutions including the family itself, citizenship, and the character and morality of the American people.

Many Americans are unconcerned that the US government, on behalf of an undeclared agenda, has invaded two countries, killed hundreds of thousands of foreign civilians, produced 4 million Iraqi refugees, rejected the Geneva Conventions and reverted to medieval torture dungeons. It does not trouble them that their government blocked ceasefires and UN resolutions so that Israel could bomb and murder Lebanese civilians and destroy the country’s infrastructure.

Passport Problems

If you look at the present situation in America, it becomes apparent to anyone with an IQ above 90 that the measures being taken to secure the United States place tremendous restrictions on US citizens and practically none on illegal immigrants. For instance, beginning next year, I will need a passport for my annual fishing trip to Canada, while criminal illegals (and their families) can cross the Mexican border and be granted blanket amnesty for crimes such as rape and murder. Does that make sense to you? If the goal was to ensure the security of the US, shouldn't it be the other way around. Some of you might say that it just demonstrates incompetence on the part of government agencies such as DHS and Customs. Unfortunately, I don't believe that is the case at all. You see, the true goal is to control Americans and prevent them from leaving the country with what wealth and belongings they have left. As this becomes more and more apparent, the restrictions will become more and more invasive. That is the sad situation in which we find our erstwhile great nation. Alan Stang paints a picture of times to come in Amerika in his article linked below and I believe it is important to, as he always said at the close of his radio broadcast .... arm yourselves.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (Ephesians 6:13-17)

Things Your Media Momma Didn't Tell You

The fact that most Americans oppose the war in Iraq, and want the president impeached, is testimony to the native intelligence and common sense of the citizens of this nation.

It sure isn't thanks to the quality of the news we're getting here in America.!

Folks, both of the organizations hosting this event in Iowa are misnamed. They proved so themselves by not inviting Ron Paul to the debate. Ron Paul is the only condidate that would actually do something about taxes and the war, two measures these organizations should be extremely supportive of. If you like to hear a group of automatons argue the finer points of the NWO agenda, by all means attend or watch the event. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste my time. - Le Patriote
==============================================
As I wrote on Wednesday, the misnamed Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance (ICA) have chosen to exclude Ron Paul from their candidates’ forum on June 30.

There is more to report.

I’ve received emails from people telling me that the folks at the ICA insist that they had nothing to do with excluding Dr. Paul, and that the blame rests with Ed Failor of Iowans for Tax Relief. (Ed’s not too popular with a lot of people these days, apparently.)

Now I have no doubt that there may be some decent people at the ICA, and that they may really believe what they are saying. But that organization cannot possibly be believed when it innocently claims it has nothing against Ron Paul.

The ICA has a page on its site that lists all the announced candidates for president. Here is the link.

Until yesterday, when I pointed it out on the LRC blog and embarrassed them a bit, there was no Ron Paul.

Now look at the list again. Ever heard of Hugh Cort? John Cox? Mark Klein? The people at the ICA evidently have, since there they are on the list. But they apparently hadn't heard of Ron Paul until just yesterday.

Welcome to Amerika the Police State

Cecilia Beaman is a 57-year-old grandmother, a principal at Pacific Middle School in Des Moines, and as of Sunday is also a suspected terrorist.

This past weekend she and several other chaperones took 37 middle school students to a Heritage Festival band competition in California. The trip included two days at Disneyland.

During the stay she made sandwiches for the kids and was careful to pack the knives she used to prepare those sandwiches in her checked luggage. She says she even alerted security screeners that the knives were in her checked bags and they told her that was OK.

But Beaman says she couldn't find a third knife. It was a 5 1/2 inch bread knife with a rounded tip and a serrated edge. She thought she might have lost or misplaced it during the trip.

On the trip home, screeners with the Transportation Security Administration at Los Angeles International Airport found it deep in the outside pocket of a carry-on cooler. Beaman apologized and told them it was a mistake.

"You've committed a felony," Beaman says a security screener announced. "And you're considered a terrorist."

The Reign of Tyrants Is at Hand

On March 10, 2006, Jorge Hirsch (http://www.antiwar.com/hirsch/?articleid=8678) made a case that use of nuclear weapons is both illegal and immoral. Despite the illegality and immorality of first-use of nuclear weapons, the Bush Pentagon rewrote US war doctrine to permit their use regardless of their illegality and immorality. For a regime that not only believes that might is right abut also that they have the might, law is what the regime says.

The revised war doctrine permits US first strike use of nuclear weapons against non-nuclear countries. We need to ask ourselves why the Bush administration would blacken America’s reputation and rekindle the nuclear arms race unless the administration had plans to apply its new war doctrine.

Senator Joseph Lieberman, a number of neoconservatives, prominent Jewish leaders such as Norman Podhoretz, and members of the Israeli government have called for a US attack on Iran. Most Republican presidential candidates have said that they would not rule out the use of nuclear weapons against Iran.

DHS acknowledges own computer break-ins

I feel so much safer knowing we have DHS safeguarding the country from "terrorists". They can't even secure their own information systems! What a joke. Yet every time there is a crisis, the answer is another government alphabet agency. DHS, TSA, BATF (bureaucrats against true freedom), IRS ... ad nauseam. By now you must have realized that these agencies aren't just incompetent, they're evil. The true goal of these agencies is to control the American people through fear and intimidation on the way to the police state that is Amerika. I'm with Ron Paul, get rid of them all. - Le Patriote

Filmmaker Michael Moore Now Says 9/11 Could Be Inside Job

Michael Moore got it all wrong in his movie Farenheit 9/11, where he portrayed GW Bush simply as a bumbling idiot who allowed 9/11 to happen due to incompetence, but had no knowledge or involvement in the attacks. Mr Moore has come to the realization that there is much more to the story, and that is what makes his admission that the 9/11 attacks could well have been an inside job significant. - Le Patriote

Academy Award winner Michael Moore answered questions on 9/11 truth during a sneak peak of his new documentary, SiCKO, in New York . Our reporters were initially avoided by Moore, but he subsequently decided to approach We Are Change.org/ Infowars.com reporters for a discussion.

Moore brought up his lingering questions on 9/11, which are a clear departure from the 'government negligence' picture he painted in his film Fahrenheit 9/11 , released some three years ago.

Moore told reporters, "I've had a number of firefighters tell me over the years and since Fahrenheit 9/11 that they heard these explosions-- that they believe there's MUCH more to the story than we've been told. I don't think the official investigations have told us the complete truth-- they haven't even told us half the truth."

The Hypocrisy of Christian Militarists

Although I have written previously about the hypocrisy of both American Christian soldiers and Christian warmongers, there is another group of Christians that are hypocrites as well: Christian militarists.

As I have pointed out again and again, there is an unholy alliance between conservative, evangelical, and fundamentalist Christians and the military. Although some of these Christian militarists may oppose the Iraq War, the stationing of U.S. troops around the globe, and U.S. foreign policy in general, they wholeheartedly support the U.S. military as the defender of our freedoms. They see no problem with Christians joining the military and then going off to fight some foreign war that has nothing to do with defending the United States because soldiers should "obey the powers that be" and submit to their commander in chief. In this respect they are hypocrites.

Police State Assault - Where is Our Sense of Outrage?

As I write, there is an on-going tragedy taking place. Heavily armed, camouflaged federal marshals, state police, and local police are laying siege on the home of Ed and Elaine Brown in Plainfield, New Hampshire.

A number of thoughts cross my mind:

Is this a microcosm replay of the mass police-state murder by the FBI at Waco, Texas (1993)? or of a similar Federal assault on Randy and Vicki Weaver’s home in Ruby Ridge, Idaho (1992) in which Vicki was murdered? Or both? What is the real reason behind this assault? Is it true that Ed and Elaine Brown are really law breakers, as the Feds claim? Should they peacefully surrender as the federal marshal demands? Or, are Ed and Elaine bravely engaging in a battle for freedom that every red-blooded American should also be actively participating in?

The War on Consciousness

We have the most criminal regime in all of our history wreaking unspeakable horror on the entire planet, while simultaneously waging war on the consciousness of its own citizens - US. If we aren’t aware of this, we are unwittingly playing into, supporting and complicit in the evil that is being perpetrated in our name.

The private interests that control our government have an incredible mind-control/propaganda machine at their disposal in the form of the mainstream media, which if not quite fully owned and controlled, is certainly under their “influence” enough to serve their underlying self-serving agenda. George Orwell once said that omission is the greatest form of lie – this perfectly describes the corporate owned media of today which is nothing other than the propaganda organ of the state. The corporate world and our government are becoming indistinguishable, which is one of the hallmarks of fascism, or more accurately – corporatism.

The Neoconservative Threat to American Freedom

A sane reader might wonder why neoconservatives would want to expand a conflict in which the US has failed. Surely, even delusional “cakewalk” neoconservatives must realize that attacking Iran would greatly increase the threat to US troops in Iraq and perhaps bring missile attacks on oil facilities and US bases throughout the Middle East. An attack on Iran would further radicalize Muslims and further undermine US puppets in the Middle East. It could bring war to the entire region.

The point is that the neoconservatives do realize this. Their defeat in Iraq and Israel’s defeat in Lebanon has taught the neoconservatives that the US cannot prevail in the Middle East by conventional military means. As I have previously explained, the neoconservatives’ plan is to escape the failure of their Iraq plan by orchestrating a war with Iran in which the US can prevail only by using nuclear weapons. As previously reported, the neoconservatives believe that the use of nuclear weapons against Iran will convince Muslims that they must accept US hegemony.

Just as Goebbels said, some lies are too big to be disbelieved. It is this disbelief that is so dangerous. The inability of Americans to see through the Big Lie to the secret agenda allows the neoconservatives to escape accountability and to continue with their plot.

The Neoconservative Threat to American Freedom
Paul Craig Roberts

The Morality of the Iraq War

The majority of the American people are now against this war. Perhaps not out of principle, but at least they are against it – for whatever their reason. Yet, support for the war among many conservative Christians continues. I know that among Americans, and even among Christian Americans, conservative Christians are usually in the minority on many issues. But being in the minority on a particular issue doesn’t necessarily mean that one is in the right. Just look at one person who is in the minority: George W. Bush. Here is a professing Christian who believes that Muslims and Christians worship the same God and a Republican president who has done more to expand the power of government than any other Republican president since Abraham Lincoln.

But whether we are in the minority or the majority, conservative Christians should oppose this war, not because the war did not go as planned, not because we don’t want another Vietnam, not because we have suffered too many casualties, not because too many Iraqi civilians have been killed, not because the war is too expensive, not because the conflict in Iraq has descended into a civil war, not because there are too many insurgents, and not because the troop surge is not working – we should oppose the war because it was a grave injustice, a monstrous wrong, and a great evil from the very beginning.

The Morality of the Iraq War

National Security, Swiss-Style

In the 20th Century, Switzerland deterred invasion and forced involvement in both World Wars with its rugged terrain, a heavily-armed populace, and a policy of relative non-intervention. Prior to WWI, the German Kaiser asked in 1912 what the quarter of a million Swiss militiamen would do if invaded by a half million German soldiers. In response a man from Switzerland replied: "shoot twice and go home".

Impressive efforts by the Swiss public over the years just goes to show that voluntary self-defense efforts by a population can deter even the most aggressive of enemies. What if we applied Swiss-style defense here in the United States?

Today is the 40th Anniversary of the Israeli Attack on the USS LIberty

This Friday June 8 marks the 40th anniversary of the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty in the midst of the Six Day War, in which Israel succeeded in seizing the West Bank and East Jerusalem from Jordan, the Golan Heights from Syria and the Gaza Strip and Sinai Peninsula from Egypt. Not bad for six days.

As you know, dear reader, I don't call sides on these things (see motto, above). But I do find it worth your time to consider what really happened forty years ago, and how it was subsequently handled by both the Israeli and U.S. governments. If the current administration decides to invade Iran (and I think it is thankfully unlikely), it will most likely be ostensibly justified by an similar "incident" in the Persian Gulf, and although the aggressor could in fact be Iran, my rapidly devaluing U.S. Dollar is on the U.S. or Israel provoking an incident not unlike some we've seen in the past. We can only hope they'll keep the nukes out of it this time.

40th Anniversary of the Deliberate Israeli Attack on the USS Liberty

The Real Reason for Bush’s Invasion of Iraq

War without cause is murder, not war.

That Bush persists with a war for which he can provide no legitimate reason indicates that there is a secret agenda that has not been shared with the American people. Are we experiencing the privatization of the US government by police agencies, the military-security complex, and the Israel Lobby?

That the American people and their elected representatives continue to tolerate a war that has killed and maimed thousands of their own soldiers, destroyed the infrastructure of a country, killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians and created 4 million refugees for no known reason raises serious questions about the morals of the American people.

An administration that resurrects the threat of nuclear Armageddon so that its cronies in the military-security complex can become still richer is evil beyond compare.

Why all the LE response when even Mr Brown has said all that is necessary is for the court to show him the law that requires him to pay income taxes on his wages? 40th Anniversary of the Israeli Attack on the USS LIberty

June 8 is the 40th anniversary of the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty. This deliberate attack on a US naval vessel was intended to either be blamed on Egypt as a pretext for an Israeli attack against that country, or to hide the fact that Isreal intended to go occupy the Golan heights or the possibility that Israel actually instigated the 6 day war with a series of Pearl Harbor style attacks from American intelligence. Either way, the attack resulted in the deaths of Americans and an attempted cover-up by both the Israeli and American government. This from a nation that is supposedly a US ally? - Le Patriote
================================
In interviewing other survivors of the USS Liberty, AFP has learned that some 15 years after the attack, an Israeli pilot approached some of the servicemen (as well as former Congressman Paul N. (Pete) McCloskey) and revealed to them that as the lead pilot in the attack that day he recognized the Liberty as American and informed his headquarters. Nevertheless, he was told to ignore the American flag and continue his attack. As a result of his refusal to do so he was immediately arrested after returning to base. Backing up his damning statements are those of former U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Dwight Porter who has also stated publicly that the Israeli pilot’s radio transmission was heard by US monitors in the U.S. Embassy in Lebanon.

The attack on the USS Liberty by the air and naval forces of Israel that resulted in the deaths of 34 of America’s young men was as much an act of war against the United States as was the sneak attack on Pearl harbor by the Japanese in 1941. The only difference between the two was that the Japanese did not have the machinery in place at that time to cover it up and lie about it as Israel has for the last 40 years. Rather than justice, what the American people have been given since that time is lies and further involvement in the tangled affairs of a gangster nation founded on duplicity, genocide and a mad thirst for world domination. As a reward for the murder of 34 sailors aboard the Liberty, Israel–rather than being given a declaration of war by the US Congress–has instead been given (by some accounts) over a trillion dollars with which to further endanger the liberty and security of the American people.

If You Think Bush Is Evil Now, Wait Until He Nukes Iran

Five years of unsuccessful war in Iraq and Afghanistan and Israel’s recent military defeat in Lebanon have convinced the neocons that America and Israel cannot establish hegemony over the Middle East with conventional forces alone. The neocons have changed US war doctrine, which now permits the US to preemptively strike with nuclear weapons a non-nuclear power. Neocons are forever heard saying, "what’s the use of having nuclear weapons if you can’t use them."

Neocons have convinced themselves that nuking Iran will show the Muslim world that Muslims have no alternative to submitting to the will of the US government. Insurgency and terrorism cannot prevail against nuclear weapons.

JFK Plot Another Bogus Terror Threat ?

This looks like another bogus terror plot story designed to keep the fear level high and justify the usurpation of power that has taken place. Jet fuel is similar to diesel in that it is not nearly as volatile as gasoline. Furthermore, current security on access to fuel at airports would have made this plan all but impossible. Remember the "liquid explosives" story a few months back? I am not buying this garbage, and I hope you aren't either! - Le Patriote
==================================================
NEW YORK (AFP) - An alleged plot to blow up fuel tanks and pipelines at New York's JFK airport had little chance of success, according to safety experts, who have questioned whether the plot ever posed a real threat.

US authorities said Saturday they had averted an attack that could have resulted in "unfathomable damage, deaths, and destruction," and charged four alleged Islamic radicals with conspiracy to cause an explosion at the airport.

But according to the experts, it would have been next to impossible to cause an explosion in the jet fuel tanks and pipeline. Furthermore, the plotters seem to have lacked the explosives and financial backing to carry out the attack.

In the Name of Patriotism (Who are the Patriots?)

The original American patriots were those individuals brave enough to resist with force the oppressive power of King George. I accept the definition of patriotism as that effort to resist oppressive state power. The true patriot is motivated by a sense of responsibility, and out of self interest -- for himself, his family, and the future of his country -- to resist government abuse of power. He rejects the notion that patriotism means obedience to the state.

Get Out of Iraq NOW - It's the Right Thing to Do

Most Americans do not anticipate a military victory in Iraq, yet the Washington politicians remain frozen in their unwillingness to change our policy there, fearful of the dire predictions that conditions can only get worse when we leave. They refuse to admit that the condition of foreign occupation is the key ingredient that unleashed the civil war now raging in Iraq and serves as a recruitment device for Al Qaida.

It’s time for a change in our foreign policy.

The Scam Called Memorial Day

The fact is, war is started by old men who never go near the war, and wars are always fought by the young. The king of Belgium once noted that it takes 20 years of peace to produce a man and 20 seconds of war to destroy him. Think about that. All that a young human being is – intelligence, health, youth, education, knowledge, potential accomplishments – reduced to a bloody pile of broken bones and guts in an instant. They are strangers killing and being killed by strangers.

War is mass murder, and no doubt part of the degradation of the human species is the fact that starting with the War Between the States, the human toll of war has increased exponentially. It's ironic that wars take the healthiest and bravest, while the unhealthy and the cowardly manage to evade them.

Look at all the draft dodgers of the Vietnam Era who suddenly became war hawks as soon as they were too old to go. I've said it before: If I had children of war age, I would do everything in my power to dissuade them from joining the military.

Concentration Camps Planned for Us?

Halliburton affiliate Kellog, Brown & Root is currently constructing a vast detention facility earmarked for unlawful enemy combatants and terrorists, but some fear the facility -- the first of many -- is being designed for Americans who oppose US global integration programs.

"The Bible says the last days will be more terrible than ever in previous times. That means that the times we are heading into are going to be worse than the Stalin and Hitler Era. Don't think for an instant that these Haliburton camps are for your safety," said an 80-year old immigrant from East Germany, who requested anonymity.
